Greg Bachman CFA, CFP®
Greg Bachman is a financial professional with nearly three decades of experience in investment management and comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, business owners, and institutions. As a Member of Spectrum Strategic Capital Management, Greg leads the firm’s investment strategy, financial planning, and key operating initiatives.
As Chief Investment Officer, Greg oversees SSCM’s investment philosophy, security research, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management. He chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and directs the implementation of investment strategy across client portfolios.
As Director of Financial Planning, Greg oversees the firm’s planning methodology and integrates investment strategy with retirement, tax, risk-management, and estate-planning considerations.
As Chief Operating Officer, Greg translates firm strategy into execution, overseeing organizational development, workflow design, and operating infrastructure. He also leads SSCM’s adoption of artificial intelligence, data systems, and automation to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in International Business, from Penn State University. He is a CFA® charterholder and CFP® professional and is an active member of CFA Institute, CFA Society Portland, CFP Board, and the Financial Planning Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Outside the office, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Karla, and their family. His interests include woodworking, snowboarding, basketball, golf, weightlifting, and fine dining.
